We will be releasing NinjaTrader Version 7.0.1000.3 Beta within the next several days to address the following items.

•We anticipate that Microsoft will be releasing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 into production later this month. NinjaTrader Version 7.0.1000.3 Beta or greater is required to be compatible with this Windows update. All prior versions of NinjaTrader including 7.0.1000.2 or earlier and NinjaTrader 6.5 will be incompatible with this Windows update.

•We have improved the ability for our 3rd party indicator and strategy developer partners to protect their intellectual property (IP) and thus any users who currently have installed commercial 3rd party add-ons are impacted by this update.
If you are using Windows 7 or are using commercial 3rd party add-ons it is critical that you read the remainder of this notice.

Why is Version 7.0.1000.3 Beta?The NinjaTrader 3rd party partner base is over 220 strong and growing every day. This thriving ecosystem of innovative applications allows you to extend the NinjaTrader application to fit your needs ensuring you get the most out of your NinjaTrader investment. Our partner program would not have been possible without the ability for our partners to protect their intellectual property (IP). To ensure that our users continue to have access to a broad base of custom indicators and strategies we are introducing a change in how IP is protected. Although the core NinjaTrader source code itself is not in a beta state, the technology wrapper used to protect our IP is new to NinjaTrader thus we thought it appropriate to label NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.3 as beta.

What are the implications of Upgrading to 7.0.1000.3 Beta?There are several implications of upgrading to NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.3 Beta including:

•If you are currently using any commercial 3rd party partner indicators or strategies we advise you to contact the partner prior to upgrading to obtain NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.3 Beta compatible versions of their products. There is a high likelihood that any 3rd party product you are using in NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.2 or earlier will not work (incompatible) with NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.3 Beta and any future NinjaTrader version.

•You may be required to spend an extra five minutes to prepare your current NinjaTrader installation for this upgrade dependant on if you have installed 3rd party commercial products. Instructions will be provided once we release NinjaTrader 7.0.1000.3 Beta.

We have been in contact with our partners over the past month in preparation for this upgrade so we encourage you to contact them to obtain the necessary products/information to make this transition a smooth one. Our support team is at the ready to help anyone who requires assistance or to answer any questions you may have. We will notify you in the next several days once NinjaTrader 7.0.100.3 Beta becomes available.

We have entered into a licensing agreement with SecureTeam to provide to you, free of charge, a version of their software that is limited to the protection of NinjaScript assemblies built and exported by NinjaTrader. If you choose to manage your NinjaScript archive outside of NinjaTrader, then CliSecure also offers an unrestricted version for purchase.
